We provide a full Immigration Medical Service
at Hastings Health Centre at very competitive rates
We aim to provide a high quality, friendly, helpful and efficient service.
The doctor’s medical, blood tests and X-ray can usually all be done at the Hastings Health Centre on the same day.
In general you will need to provide Immigration New Zealand with a full Medical and Chest X-ray Certificate (NZIS 1007) if you are applying for residence or temporary entry and intend to stay in New Zealand for more than 12 months. However we suggest you check with New Zealand Immigration or their website to establish what is required of you. www.immigration.govt.nz
To make a booking with Dr Andrew Heslop,
contact his receptionist Nettie on (06) 873 8590 in GP 5.
Dr Heslop has been through the Immigration process and therefore has understanding of what is involved.
The medical examination will involve about 15 minutes with the nurse
followed by 20-30 minutes with the doctor. Please arrive 30 minutes
before your appointment to complete the paper work. Please bring with
you:
- 3 passport sized photographs
- Your passport
- Immigration forms (we can provide these for a small charge)
If you do not speak English, please bring an interpreter.
Once you have had your medical, you will need to have some blood tests
and a chest X-ray. The blood tests can normally be done straight after
the medical unless fasting bloods are required. We suggest you have
already booked an appointment for the X-ray before coming for your
appointment so you can get it done on the day of the medical. We can
assist you with this.
Hours of operation
The service is available Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm except on Wednesdays- morning only.
