Skills/experience
I am originally from the Midwest, USA and completed my undergraduate, medical degrees and postgrad degrees in and around my home state of Missouri. During my training, I worked in a wide range of hospital and clinic settings including pediatrics, obstetrics, urgent care, nursing homes, surgery and psychiatry. In addition, I enjoyed many enriching experiences working on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Crownpoint, New Mexico, served as president of SIGHT (Students Interested in Global Health for Tomorrow), and service trips to rural Haiti and Guatemala.
I served as Chief Resident in my final year of residency training and greatly enjoyed the opportunity to participate in teaching medical students and residents. I feel learning is a life-long pursuit and continue to be passionate about working with a team of other supportive, talented, dedicated practitioners.

Home Life
My husband and I have immigrated to New Zealand with our young son (after coming originally for a 6 month stint) and are loving our integration into the Kiwi lifestyle. We are breaking in our tramping boots and are constantly amazed by how much there is to see and do in this lovely country. In addition to travel, painting and photography, new hobbies include surfing, scuba diving and playing the ukulele.
