Occupational health nurses deliver nursing care, management, advice on health promotion, health maintenance, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
The unit services all industries – including manufacturing, food processing, wool scouring, contracting, freight along with office based occupations like accounting and law.

- ACC trained Discomfort, Injury and Pain Advisor
- Negotiation of individual graduated return to work programmes (illness or injury)
- Monitoring of negotiated return to work programmes
- Liaison with treating practitioner and other health professionals
Who manages the clinic?
Frith Gray whilst her specially is ear and hearing she also manages the occupational health unit. Frith has the following qualifications RN, B.N Occupational Health Nurse and Ear Nurse Specialist. She works closely with the General Practitioners, audiologists and hearing therapists. Specialist at the DHB.
