The Attending Doctors

Providing care 7 days a week

This service provides care for people with urgent health problems or those who prefer a ‘walk in’ service. The Centre is open 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, including public holidays. 

To ensure waiting time is kept to a minimum, patients are ‘triaged’ on arrival. The most ill patients are always given priority.

  • Urgent General Practice consultations
  • General Practice emergencies and resuscitation
  • Accidents – home and industrial - minor fractures, lacerations, back injuries etc
  • Major trauma and emergencies are stabilised and referred to Hawke’s Bay Hospital
  • Sports Injuries

All staff are experienced and qualified. Our Nurses have specific A&M and fracture training.

HHC GPs work on roster to cover the Centre at night up until 8pm, after this time callers will be connected with a nurse who will offer advice on health matters.

Care The Centre is ACC endorsed as having the appropriate high standards of care. There is ongoing training and audit for all staff to maintain excellence.
