Our patients have the right to complete confidentially and privacy at all times.

The Hastings Health Centre has a Privacy Policy which operates as per:

• The Official Information Act 1982
• The Privacy Act 1993
• The Health Information Privacy Code 1994
• The Health Act 1956

Patients or a patient’s representative (as nominated by them) have the reasonable right to request personal information and/or access their own/the patient’s records.  In all instances, you will be asked for verification of your identity.  Under extenuating circumstances, we can deny access to records e.g. access would endanger the patient’s safety.
