Qualifications

Fellow of Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, BHB, MB, Ch.B, Dip.Paed (Auckland)

Skills/experience
I have lived in Hawke’s Bay with my young family since 2003, after leaving the bright lights and fast pace of Auckland for the somewhat dimmer lights and tranquil pace of Hawke’s Bay.  I had a one year hiatus working (sort of) in London.

It didn't take me too long to realise that an extra hour playing with the kids in the warm late afternoon East Coast sunshine is infinitely preferable to crawling painfully in rush hour gridlock.

I even achieved a fleeting moment of fame when I graced the cover of NZ Doctor magazine in 2006 for being one of the youngest GPs to attain Fellowship of the Royal NZ College of GPs.

Home Life
I have an extremely broad and eclectic range of interests.  Which is unfortunate, as I find I spend most of my leisure time changing nappies and singing to "The Wiggles".  There are a couple of snowboards in the garage for Mum and Dad just waiting for the kids to get old enough!

I am also active in the local community, helping to arrange charity events such as parenting seminars and holiday programmes for children etc. I attend the local Baptist church with my family.

I am moderately embarrassed at the cheesy photo adjacent to this write-up.
