Ned offers a full scope of family medical services including minor surgery as well as the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants. Outside of the clinic Ned likes motorcycle touring and motocross as well as spending quality time with his family. He is fluent in English and Arabic and has a working knowledge of French.
Catrina is the Nurse Practitioner at The Hastings Health Centre. She has advanced education and specialised clinical training in children and youth under 24 years of age. She is able to provide you with information and support about issues such as toilet training, temper tantrums and picky eating as well as assess, diagnose and treat acute illnesses such as respiratory infections, ear infections, rashes, and UTIs. Catrina is also able to manage chronic conditions such as asthma, eczema, constipation and acne.
Midwifery services are offered at The Hastings Health Centre. The midwives operate from GP4 and cover all aspects of your pregnancy ranging from creating a personalised pregnancy plan to birth and postnatal home visits.

Musculoskeletal medicine is a service which can only be accessed by patients who have either been referred by a GP or ACC.
This is an important service for The Hastings Health Centre as many experience pain due to musculoskeletal issues which occur in the muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones. Musculoskeletal symptoms include headaches, migraines, dizziness, chest pains, abdominal pain during pregnancy and growing pains.
Your first appointment will generally last around 45 minutes. If you’re experiencing any neck or back pain, you will be required to fill in a short form including a diagram outlining where the pain is. Appointments generally last about 30 minutes.
- Assessment and management of musculoskeletal problems such as tennis elbow, Achilles problem, sports injuries.
- Practical solutions to managing ongoing Musculoskeletal problems such as arthritis and back, neck and joint pain.
- ACC and GP referrals under the GPSI system.
- Joint and soft tissue steroid injections.
- On-going exercise and rehabilitation advice.
- Chronic pain 2nd skeletal conditions.
- Advice on exercises and rehabilitation
- Referral to other specialists as needed.
