Immigration Medicals
Our immigration medical service is professionally and competitively priced.
We provide a full New Zealand Immigration Medical Service at The Hastings Health Centre at very competitive rates. With over 20 years experience completing immigration medicals, we aim to provide a high quality, friendly, and efficient service.
Immigration medicals are completed online and we submit the medical information for you. They are called eMedicals. At the time of your medical we will provide you with your NZER number to submit to Immigration NZ so they can retrieve the health information we submit. We will provide you with a copy of the medical results on request.

Booking an appointment for an eMedical:
If Immigration have given you a reference number (eg HR123456) please phone the surgery on 06 873 8513 to make your booking. If not, please complete the online form below.
If you would like to complete a medical, please complete the online form below and print, sign and if possible scan the declaration form back to us at immigration@hhc.co.nz. If you are unable to scan the declaration form then you can bring it with you to your appointment instead.
Staff will aim to contact you within 1 working day, with your appointment details. If you have not heard anything within 3 working days or have an urgent query, please contact us by phone or email.
Please bring your passport with you when you come and to all appointments. We take a passport photo of you before or at the time of your appointment to attach to your medical.
We will arrange an appointment for the medical examination, blood tests and chest X ray if required.

If you have a query about our service or immigration have asked you to complete further medical test then please submit your query by clicking on “contact us” button below or email immigration@hhc.co.nz . Please include your NZER number if you have one.
You can also phone us on (06) 873 8513 and ask to talk to someone about immigration medicals.
We suggest you check with New Zealand Immigration or their website to establish what is required of you – for example, if you need a full medical or limited medical and whether you require a chest x-ray: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas
If you do not speak English, please bring an interpreter with you to your appointments. Please bring a list of any medicaltion you are taking.
Once all tests are done, (the results are usually back within 48 hours), we will forward the results of your tests and the examination direct to Immigration. If you provide an email address, you will receive email notification when your results have been sent to immigration.
FEES (effective 10th July 2024)
- Full general medical - $255
- Full general medical 14 & under - $200
- Limited medical - $200
- CXR (as part of medical) - $120
- CXR (not part of medical) - $180
- Blood tests - $150 – $205 (Depending on Laboratory used)
